.Slow moving training thunderstorms have dropped 2 to 3 inches of
rain across southern Wayne...Lawrence...and Giles counties.  Most
additional storms will move south of this area through 7 am...
however there could be some ponding of water on roadways and low
water crossings.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Giles, Lawrence and Wayne.

* WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 356 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor
    flooding in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Loretto, Collinwood, Ardmore, St. Joseph, Elkton, Minor Hill,
    Westpoint, Iron City, Leoma, Cypress Inn, Lutts and Prospect.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
