Areas affected...western into central Kentucky

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 15...

Valid 121032Z - 121230Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 15
continues.

SUMMARY...Storms may continue to pose a hail and damaging wind
threat into central Kentucky.

DISCUSSION...Scattered strong to occasionally severe storms persist
from the IN/KY border southwestward toward the MO Bootheel. Ongoing
severe storms over western KY have produced mainly large hail, but a
few damaging gusts are also possible with the line of storms as it
continues rapidly east/northeastward across the warm sector.
Dewpoints have recovered into the upper 50s across TN and now into
western KY, resulting in MUCAPE in excess of 1000 J/kg. Thus, strong
southwesterlies aloft and long hodographs will continue to favor
fast-moving storms along the front/outflow. An additional watch
could be needed if storm trends remain favorable.
