Areas affected...Portions of Middle and Eastern Tennessee into
southeastern Kentucky.

Concerning...Tornado Watch 80...

Valid 310242Z - 310415Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 80 continues.

SUMMARY...An isolated damaging wind threat is expected to persist
into the overnight hours.

DISCUSSION...A narrow corridor of destabilization is occurring ahead
of the convective line in central Tennessee. For example, the
dewpoint in Murfreesboro has increased from 48 to 55 F in the past
hour. As this continues to occur, it may be sufficient to sustain
the damaging wind threat into portions of eastern Tennesssee and
southeastern Kentucky. Given the very strong wind field (80 knot
low-level jet from KOHX), damaging winds will remain possible from
the strongly forced line, even without lightning and as storms
weaken. Therefore, a downstream severe thunderstorm watch may be
needed.
