The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Central De Kalb County in middle Tennessee...
  Southern Jackson County in middle Tennessee...
  Putnam County in middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Smith County in middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern White County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 257 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
  fallen with additional heavy rainfall expected.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville, Smithville, Algood, Baxter, Burgess Falls State Park,
  Edgar Evans State Park, Bakers Crossroads, Center Hill Lake,
  Hamptons Crossroads, Cummins Falls State Park and Granville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
