...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
1 PM CDT THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Nashville has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of Middle Tennessee,
  including the following areas, Cannon, Coffee, Cumberland, De
  Kalb, Fentress, Grundy, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Van Buren,
  Warren and White.

* Through Thursday afternoon

* Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue moving northward
  into mid state region as a strong storm system develops over the
  southern plains and pushes eastward. Currently, remnants of
  Hurricane Zeta are expected to move southeast and then east of the
  Cumberland Plateau Region. However, additional rainfall amounts
  could also be possible across the Cumberland Plateau Region too.

* Two to three inches of rainfall, with locally higher amounts
  especially in locations experiencing training of heavy rainfall,
  will be possible across the watch area. The watch area is for
  locations just west of and across the Cumberland Plateau Region.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to
Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. You
should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should
Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
  Bedford, Cheatham, Clay, Davidson, Dickson, Giles, Hickman,
  Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall,
  Maury, Montgomery, Perry, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart,
  Sumner, Trousdale, Wayne, Williamson and Wilson.

* Through Thursday morning
