Areas affected...northeast Arkansas...northern Mississippi and
western Tennessee

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 37...

Valid 030834Z - 031030Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 37
continues.

SUMMARY...A threat for a few severe storms will persist overnight
ahead of the cold front.

DISCUSSION...The primary tornado and supercell threat appears to be
diminishing as the lifting mechanism on the large-scale shifts east
into less unstable air. Behind the previously tornadic activity,
storms remain along an outflow boundary which merges with the cold
front over western TN. Surface observations as well as VWPs show SRH
has decreased over time owing to veering low-level winds in the wake
of the departing system. Still, temperatures aloft remain cool, with
ample deep-layer shear, and thus hail or a few strong wind gusts
remain possible.
