. 1 to 2 inches of rain has fallen already this evening across
portions of Middle TN and up to another inch is possible through
the rest of the overnight hours. This could cause flooding issues
across many parts of the mid-state.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST THURSDAY...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
  Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson,
  De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Humphreys,
  Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Overton,
  Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner,
  Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson, and
  Wilson.

* Until 6 AM CST Thursday

* Another inch of rainfall is possible through 6 AM Thursday.

* Rain showers will continue overnight, increasing the risk for
  flash flooding. Rapid rises on area rivers, creeks, and streams
  will be possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION,
especially at night.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
