...Moderate to Heavy Rainfall Expected Late This Afternoon and
Early Tonight...

.Rainfall rates of 2 inches in an hour can be expected this
afternoon and evening when a line of storms moves through the
mid-state. Total rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches, with locally
heavier amounts possible, will lead to an increasing threat of
flash flooding in the watch area this evening.

AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
  Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Davidson, De Kalb,
  Dickson, Giles, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson,
  Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Perry,
  Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale,
  Wayne, Williamson, and Wilson.

* From 3 PM CST this afternoon through late tonight

* Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts possible.

* Rain showers will intensify late this afternoon and evening,
  increasing the risk for flash flooding. Rapid rises on area
  rivers, creeks, and streams will be possible.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
