  Shoal Creek Near Iron City affecting Lauderdale and Lawrence Counties

. Shoal Creek near Iron City has crested and will fall below action stage by
6 AM Wednesday. More rain on Wednesday, however, will cause the creek to rise
again by Wednesday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

from the National Weather Service.

* Until Friday morning.
* At 06PM Tuesday the stage was 12.3 feet.
* Action stage is 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* The river will rise to near 12.9 feet Thursday early afternoon.
* At 14.0 feet...Flooding of low lying areas along Shoal Creek begins.
