Areas affected...Eastern AR...Western TN...Northwest MS

Concerning...Tornado Watch 23...

Valid 141214Z - 141415Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 23 continues.

SUMMARY...Threat of damaging wind gusts and tornadoes will persist
across Tornado Watch 23 for at least the next two hours.

DISCUSSION...Thunderstorms within Tornado Watch 23 have struggled to
maintain organization and intensity over the past two hours. Storms
have had an elongated downshear structure, indicative of storms
developing within a weakly unstable but strongly sheared air mass.
Warmer temperatures and slightly better moisture downstream results
in an air mass that is slightly more thermodynamically supportive of
deep convection. Very strong flow aloft continues, with vertical
shear more than supportive of organized storms. Consequently, the
potential for organized storms capable of damaging wind gusts and
tornadoes is expected to persist across Tornado Watch 23 for at
least the next two hours.
