Areas affected...Portions of middle/eastern TN and northwestern GA

Concerning...Severe potential...Watch unlikely

Valid 200900Z - 201030Z

Probability of Watch Issuance...20 percent

SUMMARY...An isolated strong/gusty wind threat may persist with a
line of storms, but additional watch issuance appears unlikely at
this time.

DISCUSSION...A broken line of convection moving eastward around
40-45 kt in northern/central AL may maintain current intensity for
the next hour or two as a 30-40 kt low-level jet remains over this
region. Multiple measured gusts to 35-45 kt have been noted with
this convection. Eventually this line should slowly weaken as it
encounters a less unstable airmass in northwestern GA and
middle/eastern TN. Regardless, strong/gusty winds producing sporadic
damage may continue in the short term. But, the overall severe
threat will likely remain too isolated/marginal to warrant
additional watch issuance early this morning.
