TN

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 406...

Valid 200734Z - 200830Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 406
continues.

SUMMARY...Strong/gusty winds producing occasional damage should
continue across Severe Thunderstorm Watch 406.

DISCUSSION...A line of convection is moving eastward around 40-45 kt
across parts of northern/central AL and southern middle TN. A wind
gust to 45 kt was reported at Tuscaloosa AL at 0716Z, and occasional
wind damage may continue to occur over the next hour or two. The
environment downstream of this line remains only weakly unstable,
but some organization may persist with a 30-40 kt west-southwesterly
low-level jet. At this point, additional downstream watch issuance
is not expected, but trends will continue to be monitored.
