...Dangerous Heat Expected Monday and Tuesday...

Heat and humidity levels will increase across the area Monday and
Tuesday. Afternoon heat index values are likely to climb well above
100 degrees for locations west of the Cumberland Plateau each day.
Peak values could reach the 105 to 109 range on Tuesday.

Remember to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioning,
limit sun exposure, and check on relatives, neighbors, and the
elderly. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time
outside. Young children and pets should never be left unattended
in vehicles as car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a
matter of minutes.
