...Dangerous Heat Expected Early Next Week...

Afternoon heat index values will approach 105 degrees across
locations west of the Cumberland Plateau Region on Monday and
Tuesday. The highest heat index values of around 105 to 108
degrees can be expected across areas along and near the Tennessee
River.

Remember to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioning,
limit sun exposure, and check on relatives, neighbors, and the
elderly. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time
outside. Young children and pets should never be left unattended
in vehicles as car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a
matter of minutes.
