...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM CDT FOR
NORTHERN SMITH...NORTHEASTERN WILSON...SOUTHERN MACON AND TROUSDALE
COUNTIES...

At 1119 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Some
additional flash flooding is possible over the next hour as showers
move east across the area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hartsville, Pleasant Shade, Dickerson Chapel Recreation Area and
Dixon Springs.

Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the
central and eastern part of warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
