...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR NOVEMBER 5-6, 2018 TORNADO EVENT UPDATE #3...

Update...to add EF-0 tornado in northern White County.

Overview...Multiple tornadoes struck Middle Tennessee after dark
on November 5th-6th. At this time, the EF-2 Christiana Tornado is
the strongest tornado (135MPH) to strike Middle Tennessee since
December 23, 2015, which was also a tornado event that occurred
at night during Secondary Severe Weather Season.

Survey Summary:
The tornado touched down on Josh Brown Road and Betty Lane where
it snapped trees and broke several large branches. As it moved
east it destroyed a barn on South Bunker Hill Road and overturned
containers and a trailer at the Upper Cumberland Regional
Airport. Across Hwy 111 there was damage to an outbuilding's
metal roof and large branches broken. The path concluded on Post Oak
Bridge Road where a tree fell onto a barn and large branches were
snapped off trees.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 mph
EF5...Violent...>200 mph
