The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Jackson County in Middle Tennessee...
  Western Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 700 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms moving back
  into Jackson and Putnam Counties. Radar estimates 1 to 2 inches of
  rain has already fallen across much of Jackson and western Putnam
  Counties from thunderstorms earlier today. Any additional rainfall
  will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville, Gainesboro, Algood, Baxter, Whitleyville, Burgess Falls
  State Park, Granville and Cummins Falls State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 268 and 290.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or
ponding of water on roadways is occurring or is imminent.
