...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR OVERTON...SOUTHWESTERN PICKETT...
EASTERN JACKSON AND PUTNAM COUNTIES UNTIL 500 PM CDT...

At 411 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles northeast of Gainesboro to 7 miles
southwest of Baxter. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Livingston, Algood, Monterey, Baxter, Crawford, Rickman,
Cummins Falls State Park and Standing Stone State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
