Tennessee Late Today...

.Rain will continue late today into the evening, especially along
and east of I-65. Some brief, localized flooding is possible,
especially in areas that have recently received heavy rainfall.

...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch for a portion of Middle Tennessee has been
cancelled. Rainfall has tapered off for Clarksville, Waverly,
Dickson, Centerville, Hohenwald, and Waynesboro. Additional
showers are expected, but the threat for any new flooding is very
low.

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
  Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Davidson, De Kalb, Giles,
  Jackson, Lawrence, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Overton, Pickett,
  Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale,
  Williamson, and Wilson.

* Until 7 PM CDT this evening

* A few pockets of heavy rainfall, with localized amounts up to 1
  inch.

* Street flooding and rises on area creeks and streams will be
  possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
