...Heavy Rainfall is Expected Over Much of Middle Tennessee
through Today...

...Localized Flooding is Expected...

.A series of low pressure areas will continue to move
nnortheastward across Middle Tennessee today, and produce periods
of heavy rainfall. These rains will fall on wet ground, leading
to run off and the increased likelihood for localized flash
flooding. In addition, you can expect rises on small creeks and
streams, as well as the possibility for rises along larger rivers.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
  Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson,
  Giles, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis,
  Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett,
  Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner,
  Trousdale, Wayne, Williamson, and Wilson.

* Through this evening

* Heavy rainfall, with additional amounts between 1 and 2 inches.
  Total rainfall for this event, including the rain on Wednesday,
  could be between 3 and 4 inches.

* Some flash flooding is possible. In addition, you can expect
  rises to occur on area creeks and streams, and possibly along
  larger rivers as well.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
