...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM CDT
FOR EASTERN SUMNER...NORTHEASTERN WILSON...WESTERN MACON AND
TROUSDALE COUNTIES...

At 446 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Castalian
Springs, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Gallatin, Lafayette, Hartsville, Westmoreland, Bethpage, Oak Grove,
Bledsoe Creek State Park and Dickerson Chapel Recreation Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
