The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Overton County in Middle Tennessee...
  Jackson County in Middle Tennessee...
  Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 1015 PM CDT

* At 817 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain and
  flooding in the Cookeville and surrounding areas as a total of 1
  to 3 inches of rain has already fallen in the area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville, Livingston, Gainesboro, Algood, Monterey, Baxter,
  Whitleyville, Granville, Rickman and Standing Stone State Park.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to possibly 2 inches is expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in more minor
flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
