...POTENTIAL EXIST FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ON SUNDAY...

ALTHOUGH THE DYNAMICS WILL BE STRONGER ACROSS INDIANA...OHIO AND NORTHERN
KENTUCKY A FEW STORMS ON SUNDAY COULD PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED
TORNADOES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE. THE TIME FRAME FOR SEVERE WEATHER IN
MIDDLE TENNESSEE WILL BE FROM LATE MORNING THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND
INTO THE EVENING.

A POWERFUL STORM SYSTEM CURRENTLY OVER THE NORTHWESTERN UNITED STATES
WILL DIVE SOUTHEAST AND INTO THE PLAINS BY EARLY SUNDAY. THE SURFACE
LOW WILL MOVE QUICKLY TOWARD THE GREAT LAKES DURING THE DAY ON SUNDAY
WITH THE ATTENDANT COLD FRONT DOWN THROUGH EASTERN ARKANSAS AT MID-
DAY. THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ON-GOING AHEAD OF THE SURFACE FRONT IN
WESTERN KENTUCKY AND WESTERN TENNESSEE SUNDAY MORNING. THE STORMS
WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN AREAS OF THE MID STATE DURING THE MORNING
AND PROGRESS EASTWARD. A FEW STORMS COULD PRODUCE DAMAGING STRAIGHT
LINE WINDS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES. IN ADDITION...THE SURFACE PRESSURE
GRADIENT WILL BE TIGHT ENOUGH TO PRODUCE WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MILES
AN HOUR WITH HIGHER GUSTS.

THE COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE CLARKSVILLE AREA AROUND
7 PM...NASHVILLE AROUND 9 PM AND BE OFF THE PLATEAU BY MIDNIGHT.
THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL END WITH PASSAGE OF THE COLD FRONT.

WE ARE IN THE SECONDARY SEVERE WEATHER SEASON HERE IN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE. RESIDENTS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE SHOULD STAY ABREAST OF
THE WEATHER CONDITIONS ON SUNDAY...AND LISTEN FOR WARNINGS SHOULD
THEY BECOME NECESSARY.
