NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN
233 PM CDT MON APR 3 2006

...STORM SURVEY OF DAMAGE IN BENTON COUNTY TENNESSEE FROM STORMS
THAT OCCURRED YESTERDAY EVENING...

THIS MORNING...PERSONNEL FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE CONDUCTED A STORM SURVEY OF DAMAGE THAT OCCURRED
AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN BENTON COUNTY.

FOUR SEPARATE AREAS OF DAMAGE WERE DISCOVERED. THE LOCATIONS...WHEN
PLOTTED ON A MAP...FORM A NEARLY STRAIGHT LINE. OUR EXPERTS HAVE
DETERMINED THAT THE DAMAGE IS CHARACTERISTIC OF AN F0 OR F1 TORNADO.

DETAILS OF THE DAMAGE:

AREA 1...DEPRIEST ROAD NEAR THE BENTON AND CARROLL COUNTY LINE.
         SEVERAL LARGE TREES UPROOTED OR SNAPPED.

AREA 2...NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF THOMPSON ROAD AND CLIFFORD HICKS
         ROAD. ROOF DAMAGE TO A HOUSE. SIDING RIPPED OFF. SEVERAL
         WINDOWS BLOWN OUT. CAR NEAR THE HOUSE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN.
         TWO FOOT DIAMETER TREES UPROOTED OR SNAPPED OFF.
         CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW ADDITION TO THE HOUSE MOVED OFF ITS
         FOUNDATION. GARBAGE CAN HURLED THROUGH A WINDOW.

AREA 3...AIRPORT ROAD SOUTH OF CAMDEN. ROOF DAMAGE TO 3 HOUSES.
         MANY LARGE TREES UPROOTED.

AREA 4...HIGHWAY 641 SOUTH OF CAMDEN. A SUBSTANTIAL BUILDING AT
         KING TRUCKING COMPANY WAS DESTROYED. (ROOF GONE...NO WALLS
         STANDING) ALSO...DEBRIS FROM THIS DAMAGE WAS FOUND 2 MILES
         EAST OF THE DAMAGE SITE.
