...STORM SURVEY OF DAMAGE IN LEBANON, TENNESSEE THAT OCCURRED FROM
YESTERDAY'S SEVERE WEATHER EVENT...

THIS MORNING...TWO METEOROLOGISTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
OFFICE IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE CONDUCTED A STORM SURVEY OF DAMAGE
THAT OCCURRED AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF LEBANON IN
WILSON COUNTY.

ONE TREE WAS BLOWN DOWN FROM STRONG STRAIGHT LINE WINDS ON A
HOUSE AT THE INTERSECTION OF DAWSON LANE AND WEST SPRING STREET.
THE ESTIMATED WIND SPEED WAS 60 MPH.

THE SCOREBOARD AT THE FOOTBALL FIELD AT CUMBERLAND UNIVERSITY WAS
BENT OVER DUE TO STRONG STRAIGHT LINE WINDS ESTIMATED AT 60 MPH.

THREE MOBILE HOMES HAD A TREE BLOWN DOWN ON TOP OF EACH IN A SMALL
MOBILE HOME PARK ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF WEBSTER STREET. WEBSTER
STREET IS LOCATED OFF OF NORTH CUMBERLAND STREET ON THE NORTH
SIDE OF LEBANON. STRAIGHT LINE WINDS WERE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR
THIS DAMAGE...WITH AN ESTIMATED WIND SPEED OF 60 MPH.

EXTENSIVE DAMAGE OCCURRED ON THE WEST END OF THE FOOTBALL FIELD
AT LEBANON HIGH SCHOOL...WHERE THE PRESS BOX WAS BLOWN OFF ITS
SUPPORTS AND ONTO THE BLEACHERS. TO PRODUCE THIS KIND OF DAMAGE...
WINDS WERE ESTIMATED AT 70 MPH.
