...SNOW AND SLEET POSSIBLE THURSDAY FOR PARTS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...

LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE NORTHERN GULF EARLY THURSDAY
AND MOVE NORTHWARD THROUGH TN. AS THIS HAPPENS...A MIXTURE OF RAIN...
SLEET AND SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE MID STATE DURING THE DAY.
AT THIS TIME IT LOOKS AS THOUGH THE PRECIPITATION WILL FALL AS
MOSTLY SNOW ACROSS THE FAR NORTHWESTERN PORTION OF THE MID STATE
WHERE UP TO 2 INCHES OF SNOWFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE. ACROSS THE
REMAINDER OF NORTHERN MIDDLE TN INCLUDING THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...A MIXTURE OF RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW CAN BE
EXPECTED WITH ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO 1 INCH POSSIBLE DURING THE
DAY. ACROSS SOUTHERN MIDDLE TN...THE PRECIPITATION WILL FALL AS
RAIN WITH PERHAPS A MIXTURE OF SNOW AND SLEET AT TIMES.

ON THURSDAY NIGHT...THE PRECIPITATION WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST.
HOWEVER...AN ADDITIONAL INCH OF SNOWFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL PLATEAU. THE STORM SYSTEM WILL BE FOLLOWED BY
COLDER TEMPERATURES.

GIVEN THE UNCERTAINTY OF THE TRACK OF THE SURFACE LOW...THE
EXACT PRECIPITATION TYPES AND AMOUNTS ARE UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME.
PLEASE MONITOR THE LATEST WEATHER UPDATES AS THE FORECAST COULD
CHANGE.

PEOPLE PLANNING TRAVEL ACROSS THE REGION...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE
NORTHWESTERN SECTIONS OF MIDDLE TN...SHOULD PREPARE FOR THE
POSSIBILITY OF WINTRY WEATHER ON THURSDAY.
