SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

The Tropical Storm Warning for Volusia County has been discontinued.
A Tropical Storm Warning Continues for the Atlantic waters north of
Sebastian Inlet, with a Small Craft Advisory south to Jupiter Inlet.

Tropical Storm Isaias, currently centered about 80 miles east of Ormond
Beach, will continue to move north into the waters offshore northeast
Florida through sunrise.

Near tropical storm conditions, with wind gusts near 40 mph in squalls
along the barrier islands of Volusia County will gradually abate as the
center of Isaias pulls away to the northeast. Gusty winds of 20 to 30
mph will continue there into the morning hours, and a Lake Wind Advisory
has been issued through late morning. Additional rainfall amounts should
be less than one inch.

Strong tropical storm conditions with winds to around 50 knots and seas
of 10 to 15 feet north of Sebastian Inlet will gradually subside. Coupled
with astronomical high tides due to the approaching full moon, one more
round of moderate beach erosion is expected during the morning high tide
cycle around 830 AM. Storm tides up to 2 feet above normal are expected.
Large breaking waves in excess of 7 feet will also diminish later this
morning.


POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Diminishing impacts will linger for a few more hours along Coastal
Volusia County. Remain sheltered from hazardous wind having limited
impacts. If realized, these impacts include:
    - Unsecured lightweight objects blown about.
    - A few larger tree limbs broken off, or small trees snapped or
      uprooted, mainly in places where trees are shallow rooted.
      Some fences and roadway signs blown over.
    - A few roads impassable from debris, particularly within urban
      or heavily wooded places. Hazardous driving conditions on
      bridges and other elevated roadways.
    - Scattered power and communications outages.

Elsewhere across East Central Florida, little to no impact is
anticipated.

* SURGE:
Potential impacts from the main surge event are unfolding across
Coastal Volusia County. Remain away from locally hazardous surge
having limited impacts. If realized, these impacts include:
    - Localized inundation with storm surge flooding mainly along
      immediate shorelines and in low-lying spots, or in areas
      farther inland near where higher surge waters move ashore.
    - Sections of near-shore roads and parking lots become overspread
      with surge water. Driving conditions dangerous in places where
      surge water covers the road.
    - Moderate beach erosion. Heavy surf also breaching dunes, mainly
      in usually vulnerable locations. Strong rip currents.

Elsewhere across East Central Florida, little to no impact is
anticipated.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
Remain safely sheltered until conditions improve. When going outside
be sure to stay away from downed power lines, hazardous debris and
flooded areas.

If clearing out fallen trees, be careful with chainsaws and axes.
Always wear protective gear and keep others at a safe distance.
Leaning trees and those which have fallen on roofs or power lines can
be especially dangerous. If you are not in good health or unsure
about what you are doing, have someone with tree cutting experience
do the job. Never cut trees without a partner.

If using a generator, avoid carbon monoxide poisoning by following
instructions provided by the manufacturer. Operate your generator in
a well-ventilated space outside of your living area and away from
open doors and windows.

Be alert for any lingering wind gusts which could take down weakened
trees and/or power lines, collapse damaged structures, or cause
flying debris.
