**HURRICANE DORIAN DEPARTING THE REGION**

NEW INFORMATION
---------------

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - The Tropical Storm Warning has been cancelled for Coastal Palm
      Beach and Metro Palm Beach

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 110 miles northeast of West Palm Beach FL
    - 27.7N 78.7W
    - Storm Intensity 110 mph
    - Movement Northwest or 325 degrees at 6 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

The center of Hurricane Dorian continues its northwestward movement
over the Atlantic waters east of Florida, slowly distancing itself from
South Florida. Occasional tropical storm force wind gusts from squalls
are still possible over South Florida through this evening.

Inundation of locations along the Atlantic coast will continue near
the times of high tide through at least Wednesday, primarily in
vulnerable locations and low-lying spots along the Intracoastal
Waterway. A prolonged period of strong winds over the Atlantic coastal
waters will cause very hazardous seas, rough surf, and beach erosion
through the next few days.

Residents and visitors in South Florida should continue to monitor
weather conditions and follow the advice of local officials.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* SURGE:
Potential impacts from the main surge event are now unfolding across
the Atlantic coast and Intracoastal Waterway. Remain well away from
locally hazardous surf having additional limited impacts. If realized,
these impacts include:
    - Localized inundation with coastal flooding mainly along immediate
      shorelines and in low-lying spots, or in areas farther inland
      near where higher coastal flood waters move ashore.
    - Sections of near-shore roads and parking lots become overspread
      with coastal flood waters. Driving conditions dangerous in places
      where water covers the road.
    - Major beach erosion. Heavy surf also breaching dunes, mainly in
      usually vulnerable locations. Strong rip currents.
    - Minor to locally moderate damage to marinas, docks, boardwalks,
      and piers. A few small craft broken away from moorings.

* FLOODING RAIN:
Potential impacts from the flooding rain are still unfolding across
eastern portions of South Florida. Remain well guarded against locally
hazardous flood waters having possible limited impacts. If realized,
these impacts include:
    - Ditches and canals may quickly rise with swift currents.
    - Flood waters can enter a few structures, especially in usually
      vulnerable spots.
    - A few places where rapid ponding of water occurs at underpasses,
      low-lying spots, and poor drainage areas.
    - Several storm drains and retention ponds become near-full and
      begin to overflow. Some brief road and bridge closures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

* EVACUATIONS:
Do not enter evacuated areas until officials have given the all clear
to return.

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:

Do not be a thrill seeker or risk your life for senseless photos or
videos.

If you are prone to flooding or in an area under a Coastal Flood
Advisory, be prepared for the possibility of a quick and dramatic rise
in water levels.

If a tornado warning is issued for your area, quickly move to the
safest place within your shelter. Protect your head and body.
