.NEW INFORMATION..A Tropical Storm Watch and a Typhoon Watch have
been issued.

.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides information and recommended actions
for people in Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan.

.WATCHES/WARNINGS...
A Typhoon Watch is in effect for Rota, Tinian and Saipan. Damaging
winds of 39 mph or more are possible Monday, and typhoon force winds
of 74 mph or greater are possible Monday night or Tuesday morning.

A tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Guam. Damaging winds of
39 mph or higher are possible Monday or Monday night.

All persons in the watch areas should review their preparedness
plan and be ready to implement it should a warning be issued for
their area.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 1 PM ChST...the center of Tropical Depression 22W was located
near Latitude 10.5N...Longitude 156.0E. This is about 785 miles
east-southeast OF Guam. TD 22W was moving west-northwest at 18 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
A Tropical Storm Watch and a Typhoon Watch have been issued.

Begin preparations for the possibility of damaging winds, which are
possible Monday afternoon or evening. Make sure you have adequate
supplies of food, water, and needed medical supplies. Fill your
vehicles with fuel. Ensure your generator is in good working order,
and have extra supplies of fuel for its operation. Clear your
property and drains of potential debris. Have a portable radio
ready for receiving storm information.

Damaging winds of 39 mph or greater are possible as early as Monday
afternoon.

Coastal inundation of 1 to 2 feet is possible as 22W passes Monday
afternoon through Tuesday.
