**TROPICAL STORM MICHAEL NOW MOVING AWAY FROM THE AREA**

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 240 miles north-northeast of Charleston SC or about 310
      miles north-northeast of Savannah GA
    - 36.1N 78.8W
    - Storm Intensity 50 mph
    - Movement Northeast or 50 degrees at 24 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Michael is expected to track northeastward across
North Carolina this evening. Gusty conditions will continue across
southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina until sunset. Dangerous
surf conditions will remain along the Charleston County coast through
early this evening.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS:
Life-threatening rip currents and very rough surf are expected at Charleston
County beaches until early this evening.
