COUNTIES OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA**

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - TROPICAL STORM WARNING CANCELLED FOR COASTAL NASSAU AND
      COASTAL DUVAL COUNTIES.

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR INLAND
      GLYNN...COASTAL GLYNN...INLAND CAMDEN AND COASTAL CAMDEN

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - ABOUT 40 MILES NORTH OF JACKSONVILLE FL
    - 30.9N 81.8W
    - STORM INTENSITY 40 MPH
    - MOVEMENT NORTH OR 350 DEGREES AT 7 MPH

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

TROPICAL STORM JULIA WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK SLOWLY NORTHWARD
OVER THE COASTAL COUNTIES OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA TODAY. THE MAIN
IMPACTS WILL BE HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG WIND GUSTS WITH A RAIN
BAND SPREADING IN OVER COASTAL SOUTHEAST GEORGIA.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* FLOODING RAIN:
POTENTIAL IMPACTS FROM THE FLOODING RAIN ARE STILL UNFOLDING ACROSS
COASTAL SOUTHEAST GEORGIA. REMAIN WELL GUARDED AGAINST LOCALLY
HAZARDOUS FLOOD WATERS HAVING POSSIBLE LIMITED IMPACTS. IF
REALIZED, THESE IMPACTS INCLUDE:
    - LOCALIZED RAINFALL FLOODING MAY PROMPT A FEW EVACUATIONS.
    - RIVERS AND TRIBUTARIES MAY QUICKLY RISE WITH SWIFTER CURRENTS.
      SMALL STREAMS, CREEKS, CANALS, AND DITCHES MAY BECOME SWOLLEN
      AND OVERFLOW IN SPOTS.
    - FLOOD WATERS CAN ENTER A FEW STRUCTURES, ESPECIALLY IN USUALLY
      VULNERABLE SPOTS. A FEW PLACES WHERE RAPID PONDING OF WATER
      OCCURS AT UNDERPASSES, LOW-LYING SPOTS, AND POOR DRAINAGE
      AREAS. SEVERAL STORM DRAINS AND RETENTION PONDS BECOME
      NEAR-FULL AND BEGIN TO OVERFLOW. SOME BRIEF ROAD AND BRIDGE
      CLOSURES.

* WIND:
POTENTIAL IMPACTS FROM THE MAIN WIND EVENT ARE NOW UNFOLDING ACROSS
COASTAL SOUTHEAST GEORGIA. REMAIN WELL SHELTERED FROM HAZARDOUS
WIND HAVING POSSIBLE LIMITED IMPACTS. IF REALIZED, THESE
IMPACTS INCLUDE:
    - DAMAGE TO PORCHES, AWNINGS, CARPORTS, SHEDS, AND UNANCHORED
      MOBILE HOMES. UNSECURED LIGHTWEIGHT OBJECTS BLOWN ABOUT.
    - MANY LARGE TREE LIMBS BROKEN OFF. A FEW TREES SNAPPED OR
      UPROOTED, BUT WITH GREATER NUMBERS IN PLACES WHERE TREES ARE
      SHALLOW ROOTED. SOME FENCES AND ROADWAY SIGNS BLOWN OVER.
    - A FEW ROADS IMPASSABLE FROM DEBRIS, PARTICULARLY WITHIN URBAN
      OR HEAVILY WOODED PLACES. HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ON
      BRIDGES AND OTHER ELEVATED ROADWAYS.
    - SCATTERED POWER AND COMMUNICATIONS OUTAGES.

* TORNADOES:
LOW POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR WATERSPOUTS APPROACHING THE COASTLINE OF
SOUTHEAST GEORGIA THIS MORNING.

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
NOW IS THE TIME TO REMAIN SAFELY SHELTERED FROM THE STORM. STAY
INSIDE AND AWAY FROM WINDOWS. LISTEN FOR UPDATES AND BE READY IN CASE
YOU LOSE ELECTRICAL POWER. LOCATE YOUR BATTERY POWERED RADIO AND
FLASHLIGHT FROM YOUR EMERGENCY SUPPLIES KIT. KEEP THESE ITEMS CLOSE.

CONTINUE TO KEEP YOUR CELL PHONE WELL CHARGED FOR AS LONG AS
POSSIBLE. IF YOU LOSE POWER, USE IT MORE SPARINGLY AND MAINLY FOR
PERSONAL EMERGENCIES AND CHECK-INS. DO NOT OVERLOAD COMMUNICATIONS
SYSTEMS WITH IDLE CHATTER.

HEAVY RAINFALL MAY CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN URBAN AREAS AND AREAS
WITH POOR DRAINAGE. AVOID DRIVING ON FLOODED ROADS.
