EAST-SOUTHEAST OF CHARLESTON SC...OR ABOUT 150 MILES EAST OF
SAVANNAH GA. STORM MOTION WAS NNE OR 15 DEGREES AT 10 MPH. STORM
INTENSITY WAS 90 MPH.
.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
STRENGTHENING HURRICANE ARTHUR WILL CONTINUE TO PASS JUST EAST OF
THE COASTAL WATERS TODAY AS IT BEGINS TO TAKE A TURN MORE TOWARD
THE NORTHEAST. BASED ON OBSERVATIONS...TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS
ARE LIKELY OCCURRING NOW ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE NEARSHORE WATERS
OF SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND WILL CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT FEW
HOURS AS ARTHUR MAKES ITS CLOSEST APPROACH. HURRICANE ARTHUR WILL
QUICKLY PULL AWAY FROM THE REGION THIS EVENING.
