SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF WILMINGTON NC. STORM MOTION WAS MOVING NORTH
AT 8 MPH. STORM INTENSITY REMAINS 70 MPH.
.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
ARTHUR IS FORECAST TO STRENGTHEN TO A CATEGORY 1 HURRICANE AS IT
MOVES NORTH-NORTHEAST THIS MORNING. THE CENTER OF ARTHUR IS
FORECAST TO PASS TO THE EAST OF THE CAPE FEAR REGION DURING THE
EVENING. HOWEVER IMPACTS WILL BEGIN TO BE FELT LATER THIS MORNING
MAINLY ACROSS THE COASTAL COUNTIES OF NORTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND
THE ADJACENT SOUTH CAROLINA COASTAL WATERS AND EARLY AFTERNOON
