A TROPICAL STORM WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR SONSOROL IN THE
REPUBLIC OF PALAU.
THE TYPHOON WATCH FOR NGULU IN YAP STATE HAS BEEN CANCELED.
THE TYPHOON WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR KOROR AND KAYANGEL IN THE
REPUBLIC OF PALAU.
A TYPHOON WARNING MEANS THAT DAMAGING WINDS OF 39 TO 73 MPH ARE
EXPECTED WITHIN 24 HOURS AND THAT TYPHOON CONDITIONS INCLUDING WINDS
GREATER THAN 73 MPH ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW.
A TROPICAL STORM WARNING MEANS THAT TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS...

LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 6.3 DEGREES NORTH AND LONGITUDE 137.0 DEGREES
EAST.
THIS IS ABOUT 140 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF NGULU
230 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF YAP
190 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF KOROR
200 MILES SOUTHEAST OF KAYANGEL AND
335 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF SONSOROL.
SUPER TYPHOON BOPHA IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST AT 14 MPH.
TYPHOON BOPHA IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THIS SAME GENERAL MOTION
THROUGH MONDAY. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO 150 MPH.

SUPER TYPHOON BOPHA WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST.
THE FORECAST TRACK TAKES BOPHA BETWEEN THE ISLAND OF PELELIU AND
KOROR. HOWEVER...THE AREA FROM ANGAUR TO KAYANGEL IS AT GREAT RISK
FOR VERY DESTRUCTIVE WINDS AND WAVES. THE TYPHOON IS A HIGH-END
CATEGORY 4 SUPER TYPHOON WITH SUSTAINED WINDS AS HIGH AS 150 MPH.
WIND GUSTS CAN BE AS HIGH AS 180 MPH.

EXPECTED BEFORE MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR
FROM MIDNIGHT TO 4 AM AND DAMAGING WINDS WILL LAST THROUGH MID
MORNING MONDAY. FOR LOCATIONS NORTH OF THE EYE...WIND DIRECTION WILL
BE FROM THE NORTHEAST AS BOPHA APPROACHES...FROM THE EAST AS IT

OF THE EYE...WINDS WILL BE FROM THE NORTH...CHANGING TO THE
NORTHWEST AS BOPHA APPROACHES AND TO THE SOUTHWEST AS BOPHA PASSES.
NEAR THE EYE...WINDS WILL BE VERY STRONG AND THE DIRECTION WILL BE
VARIABLE. DO NOT VENTURE FAR FROM SHELTERS IF THE EYE PASSES
