ALL OF PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS COASTAL WATERS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF PUERTO RICO AND THE
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS. PLEASE LISTEN CLOSELY FOR ANY FLOOD WARNINGS

AT 3 PM AST...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ISAAC WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 16.0N...LONGITUDE 66.4W. THIS WAS ABOUT 160 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF MAYAGUEZ PR...OR ABOUT 140 MILES SOUTH OF
PONCE PR. STORM MOTION WAS WNW OR 285 DEGREES AT 15 MPH. STORM
INTENSITY WAS 40 MPH.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
A GENERAL CONCERN CONTINUES TO BE THE POSSIBILITY OF HEAVY
RAINFALL...FLOODING AND SOME WIND DAMAGE ACROSS PORTIONS OF PUERTO
RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS. IN ADDITION...IT IS BECOMING
MORE PROBABLE THAT A STORM SURGE WILL RAISE WATER LEVELS BETWEEN 1
AND 3 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE LEVELS IN PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S.
VIRGIN ISLANDS. NEAR THE COAST...THE SURGE WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY
DANGEROUS WAVES.

GENERATE ENOUGH RUNOFF TO CAUSE RAPID RIVER RISES ON AREA
RIVERS...STREAMS AND GUTS. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM
1 TO 3 INCHES INCHES WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS OF UP TO 8 INCHES.
MUDSLIDES AND DEBRIS FLOW ARE ALSO POSSIBLE IN AREAS OF STEEP
TERRAIN.

THE LATEST AREA FORECAST IS FOR MAXIMUM WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH WITH
GUSTS TO 40 MPH. HOWEVER...AS TROPICAL STORM ISAAC APPROACHES...
