AT 4 PM CDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM LEE WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 29.4N...LONGITUDE 92.1W. THIS WAS ABOUT 125 MILES WEST-
SOUTHWEST OF NEW ORLEANS LA...OR ABOUT 190 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF
GULFPORT MS. STORM MOTION WAS NORTH AT 4 MPH. STORM INTENSITY WAS
60 MPH.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
WHEN MAKING DECISIONS...DO NOT FOCUS ON THE EXACT FORECAST TRACK.
THIS IS A VERY BROAD STORM AND STRONG WINDS AND SQUALLS EXTEND
WELL AWAY FROM THE CENTER OF CIRCULATION. AT 4 PM CDT...CONVECTIVE
BANDS CONTINUED TO MOVE ACROSS SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTHWEST
AND COASTAL MISSISSIPPI. SOME STORMS WITHIN THESE BANDS WERE
CONTINUING TO DEVELOP TORNADIC SIGNATURES AND ISOLATED TORNADOES
WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY. STORM
SURGES WILL ALSO CONTINUE TO IMPACT COASTAL LOCATIONS TODAY AND
SUNDAY.

AS TROPICAL STORM LEE MOVES SLOWLY NORTHWARD...SUSTAINED TROPICAL
STORM FORCE WINDS WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE AREA. MAXIMUM WINDS ARE
FORECAST TO BE IN THE 35 TO 45 MPH RANGE WITH GUSTS TO 65 MPH.
SINCE THERE IS STILL UNCERTAINTY...CLOSELY MONITOR THE FORECAST
FOR ANY SIGNIFICANT CHANGES. MINOR TO MODERATE DAMAGE IS LIKELY TO
MANY MOBILE HOMES...ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT HAVE CANOPIES...
AWNINGS...OR CARPORTS. POORLY CONSTRUCTED HOMES MAY SUSTAIN MINOR

A STORM SURGE OF 2 TO 4 FEET HAS BEEN NOTED ALONG THE COAST. WATER
LEVELS ARE NOT LIKELY TO RECEDE MUCH EVEN WITH THE LOW TIDE. THESE
CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH AT LEAST SUNDAY AND MAY INCREASE
FURTHER DURING THE NEXT HIGH TIDE.
