LOCATIONS AND COASTAL WATER LEGS OF SOUTH TEXAS AND THE MIDDLE
TEXAS COASTAL WATERS.

TROPICAL CYCLONE WATCHES AND WARNINGS ARE NO LONGER IN EFFECT
ANYWHERE ACROSS SOUTH TEXAS AND THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS.
PLEASE CHECK THE LATEST PUBLIC AND MARINE FORECASTS FOR DETAILED
INFORMATION ABOUT ADDITIONAL HAZARDS.

AT 10 PM CDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION DON WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 27.2N...LONGITUDE 97.5W. THIS WAS ABOUT 50 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF PORT ARANSAS TX...OR ABOUT 110 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF PORT O'CONNOR TX. STORM MOTION WAS WNW OR 290 DEGREES AT
14 MPH. STORM INTENSITY WAS 35 MPH. THIS IS BELOW TROPICAL STORM
CRITERION...SO THE TROPICAL STORM WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
TROPICAL DEPRESSION DON CONTINUES TO GRADUALLY WEAKEN AS IT MOVES
INLAND NEAR BAFFIN BAY. WHILE WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO
WEAKEN...ELEVATED SEAS WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT AND WINDS WILL BE
SUFFICIENT OVER THE WATERS. THUS...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES ARE IN
EFFECT THROUGH AT LEAST SATURDAY MORNING. A FEW WIND GUSTS AROUND
40 MPH IN ANY SHOWERS...THUNDERSTORMS AND SQUALLS ARE STILL
POSSIBLE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. ALSO...THE RISK FOR RIP
CURRENTS AND MINOR COASTAL FLOODING OR TIDAL OVERFLOW WILL STILL
EXIST THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ARE STILL EXPECTED LATER
TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY...WITH RAINFALL ACTIVITY EXPECTED TO
DIMINISH FROM EAST TO WEST SATURDAY NIGHT. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF
AROUND ONE INCH WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE
THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT...MAINLY OVER WESTERN AND SOUTHERN PORTIONS
OF WEBB COUNTY. LOWER RAINFALL TOTALS ARE EXPECTED ELSEWHERE.

WATER REACHING INTO THE DUNES AND FLOODING ACCESS ROADS. WAVES
ASSOCIATED WITH DON WILL PRODUCE LARGE BREAKING WAVES AND
DANGEROUS SURF. A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS EXISTS AND WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY. AS A RESULT...A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY
