AT 26 MPH. STORM INTENSITY WAS 50 MPH.

ALTHOUGH WINDS HAVE DIMINISHES SOMEWHAT ACROSS THE REGION...THEY
ARE LIKELY TO INCREASE A LITTLE AS THEY SHIFT TO THE TO THE
NORTHWEST LATE THIS EVENING...AS IRENE LIFTS NORTHEAST INTO
QUEBEC. INTERIOR SECTIONS OF NEW HAMPSHIRE AND WESTERN MAINE HAVE
ALREADY SEEN AREAS OF SIGNIFICANT FLOODING...AND AS THE RUNOFF
FROM THE RAINS CONTINUES...ADDITIONAL AREAS COULD SEE FLOODING.
