LATITUDE 39.2N...LONGITUDE 74.5W. THIS WAS ABOUT 200 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF TORRINGTON CT...OR ABOUT 230 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF PITTSFIELD MA...OR ABOUT 170 MILES SOUTH OF
POUGHKEEPSIE NY. STORM MOTION WAS NNE OR 20 DEGREES AT 18 MPH.
STORM INTENSITY WAS 75 MPH.
.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG WINDS WILL BE AFFECTING THE REGION THROUGH
THE DAY. WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WERE ALREADY OCCURRING AS OF
600 AM...AND WILL BE INCREASING TO 45 TO 65 MPH DURING THE DAY.
THE STRONG WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN WILL LEAD TO DOWNED TREES AND
POWER LINES...WITH NUMEROUS POWER OUTAGES LIKELY. IN ADDITION...
MODERATE TO MAJOR FLOODING OF MAIN STEM RIVERS...AND MANY SMALLER
STREAMS IS LIKELY. THERE WILL ALSO LIKELY BE URBAN AND POOR
DRAINAGE FLOODING AS WELL AS EXTENSIVE PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS
