LOCATIONS AND COASTAL WATER LEGS OF INLAND SOUTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI...SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...THE WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE
AND GULF COASTAL WATERS DESTIN TO PASCAGOULA OUT 60 NM.

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF GULF COASTAL
WATERS DESTIN TO PASCAGOULA OUT 60 NM.
A TROPICAL STORM WIND WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF INLAND
INLAND SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI...SOUTHWEST ALABAMA AND THE WESTERN
FLORIDA PANHANDLE.
ALL HURRICANE WARNINGS HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR PART OF SOUTHWEST ALABAMA AND
THE WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE.

AT 9 AM CST...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM IDA WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 26.5 NORTH...LONGITUDE 88.3 WEST...OR ABOUT 185 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF THE MOUTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. THIS IS
ABOUT 290 MILES SOUTH OF MOBILE AL.
IDA IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST AT 17 MPH. A TURN TOWARD
THE NORTH AND THEN TO THE NORTH-NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT
24 HOURS. ON THE FORECAST TRACK...THE CENTER OF IDA IS EXPECTED TO
MAKE LANDFALL ALONG THE NORTHERN GULF COAST TUESDAY MORNING. AFTER
LANDFALL...A TURN TO THE EAST IS EXPECTED ON TUESDAY.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS CONTINUE TO DECREASE AND ARE NOW NEAR 70
MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME ADDITIONAL WEAKENING IS EXPECTED TODAY

ALL HURRICANE WARNINGS DISCONTINUED. SURF WILL INCREASE DURING THE
DAY AND A LARGE BATTERING SURF IS EXPECTED FROM SUNSET THROUGH THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS. SURF HEIGHTS OF 10 TO 15 FEET POSSIBLE FROM FORT

TOTAL TIDE HEIGHTS OF 4 TO 6 FEET ARE POSSIBLE FROM SOUTHERN MOBILE
COUNTY TO FORT MORGAN. TOTAL TIDE HEIGHTS OF 3 TO 5 FEET ARE POSSIBLE
ACROSS SOUTHERN BALDWIN COUNTY. ACROSS THE NORTHWEST FLORIDA
PANHANDLE...TOTAL TIDE HEIGHTS OF 3 TO 4 FEET ARE CURRENTLY
ANTICIPATED. THE TIME OF ASTRONOMICAL HIGH TIDE ON TUESDAY WILL
RANGE FROM 2 TO 3 AM ACROSS THE REGION. THIS WILL EXACERBATE STORM
RELATED FLOODING SINCE IDA WILL BE NEARING THIS COAST DURING THIS
TIME.
THERE HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTS OF MINOR COASTAL FLOODING ACROSS
DAUPHIN ISLAND WITH WATER REPORTED FROM ST. STEPHENS ROAD TO THE WEST
END OF DAUPHIN ISLAND.

SURF WILL INCREASE DURING THE DAY AND A LARGE BATTERING SURF IS

MUCH OF SOUTHWEST ALABAMA AND THE NORTHWEST FLORIDA PANHANDLE. 3 TO
6 INCHES OF RAINFALL...WITH SOME ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS MAY OCCUR. A
FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF SOUTHWEST ALABAMA AND THE
NORTHWEST FLORIDA PANHANDLE.

THE RISK OF TORNADOES IS LOW...BUT IF TORNADOES DO OCCUR THEY WILL
MAINLY FORM IN IDA'S OUTER RAIN BANDS FROM LATE TODAY INTO TUESDAY.
TORNADOES ARE MOST LIKELY TO OCCUR IN THE NORTHEAST QUADRANT OF THE
