NEAR LATITUDE 25.3 NORTH...LONGITUDE 86.0 WEST OR ABOUT 325
MILES...520 KM...SOUTHEAST OF THE MOUTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

GUSTAV IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 17 MPH...28 KM/HR.  THIS
GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE WITH A DECREASE IN FORWARD
SPEED DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.  ON FORECAST TRACK...GUSTAV
SHOULD MAKE LANDFALL ON THE NORTHERN GULF COAST ON MONDAY.

AS GUSTAV MOVES TO THE NORTHWEST THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY THAT IT
COULD BEGIN TO SLOW DOWN DRASTICALLY PROVIDING A PROLONGED RAIN
THREAT TO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. RAINFALL TOTALS AT THIS
TIME LOOK LIKE THERE COULD RANGE FROM 4 TO 6 INCHES WITH ISOLATED
AMOUNTS GREATER THAN 10 INCHES POSSIBLE.
