A FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR ALL OF EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA THROUGH
THIS EVENING.

A TROPICAL STORM WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL INLAND
COUNTIES WITHIN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA EXCEPT OKEECHOBEE...BUT WILL
LIKELY BE CANCELED LATER THIS MORNING.

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING CONTINUES FOR VOLUSIA AND BREVARD COUNTIES...
AND THE ADJACENT ATLANTIC WATERS...BUT WILL LIKELY BE CANCELED LATER

...STORM INFORMATION... AT 500 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM
FAY WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 29.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 82.2 WEST OR
ABOUT 90 MILES NORTHWEST OF ORLANDO.

FAY IS MOVING SLOWLY BUT STEADILY WEST AT ABOUT 6 MPH AND THIS
MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TODAY AND TONIGHT...BRINGING THE
CENTER OF FAY NEAR OR ALONG THE COAST OF THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 50 MPH AND GRADUAL WEAKENING IS
FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

EASTERN PERIPHERY OF FAYS CIRCULATION. PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN ARE
AGAIN EXPECTED...ESPECIALLY THIS AFTERNOON AS RAIN BANDS FORM OVER
THE GULF AND WESTERN PENINSULA AND MOVE QUICKLY NORTHEAST. WHILE
LONG LASTING HEAVY RAINFALL IS NOT AS LIKELY AS RECENT DAYS...

RAINFALL RATES UP TO AN INCH AN HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH 8
AM...LIKELY LEADING TO SOME ADDITIONAL FLOODING.

LATER TODAY...SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND ISOLATED STORMS WILL
REDEVELOP WITHIN THE LINGERING TROPICAL AIRMASS ON THE SOUTHERN
AND EASTERN PERIPHERY OF FAYS CIRCULATION. PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN

MORNING WAS AT THE FLOOD STAGE OF 2.8 FEET...AND IS FORECAST TO
CONTINUE TO SLOWLY RISE...REACHING 3.1 FEET BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT
WEEK. IF ADDITIONAL SIGNIFICANT RAIN AMOUNTS OCCUR TODAY...THE
RIVER MAY RISE A LITTLE HIGHER THAN CURRENTLY INDICATED. ALL INTERESTS
ALONG THE ST. JOHNS RIVER NEAR ASTOR SHOULD PREPARE FOR MINOR
FLOODING.

ON THE SAINT JOHNS AT DELAND AND LAKE HARNEY...THE RIVER IS
FORECAST TO APPROACH OR REACH ACTION STAGE WITHIN A FEW DAYS.
NEARBY RESIDENTS SHOULD MONITOR THE LATEST RIVER LEVELS AND
FORECASTS...THROUGH THIS WEEKEND...ESPECIALLY IF ADDITIONAL HEAVY
