.AT 1000 AM CDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM EDOUARD WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 29.9 NORTH...LONGITUDE 94.6 WEST OR ABOUT 40
MILES WEST OF PORT ARTHUR TEXAS.
EDOUARD IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 15 MPH. A
CONTINUED WEST-NORTHWEST MOTION WITH SOME REDUCTION IN FORWARD
SPEED IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT DAY OR TWO...TAKING EDOUARD ACROSS
CENTRAL TEXAS.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 60 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS.
ADDITIONAL WEAKENING IS FORECAST AS EDOUARD CONTINUES MOVING
FARTHER INLAND.
TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 70 MILES FROM THE
CENTER. A NOAA C-MAN STATION SRST2 NEAR SABINE PASS RECENTLY
REPORTED SUSTAINED WINDS OF 54 MPH WITH A GUST TO 61 MPH.
ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 997 MB OR 29.44 INCHES.
STORM SURGE FLOODING WILL GRADUALLY SUBSIDE THIS AFTERNOON.
EDOUARD IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE TOTAL RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO
5 INCHES IN SOME SOUTHWESTERN LOUISIANA COASTAL PARISHES AND
SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS. ISOLATED MAXIMUM AMOUNTS OF 10 INCHES ARE

FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED ON THE LOWER CALCASIEU RIVER NEAR LAKE
CHARLES. AT THE SALT WATER BARRIER...THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO
RISE TO NEAR 4 FEET BY EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. FLOOD STAGE AT THE
SALT WATER BARRIER IS 4 FEET. MINOR FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG
RIVER ROAD IN NORTH LAKE CHARLES AND ON MIMMS ROAD IN WEST LAKE.
AT OLD TOWN BAY THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO RISE TO AROUND 4 FEET
EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. FLOOD STAGE IS 4 FEET. AT 4 FEET MINOR
FLOODING OF GOOS FERRY ROAD CAN BE EXPECTED.
