AN INLAND TROPICAL STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT THROUGH 7 PM MONDAY
EVENING ALONG AND SOUTHWEST OF HIGHWAY 57.
A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT THROUGH 7 PM MONDAY EVENING FOR
AREAS ALONG AND NORTHEAST OF AN ELKMONT TO PRICEVILLE TO ARAB
LINE.
A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT THROUGH 7 PM MONDAY FOR ALL OF NORTH
ALABAMA AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

INLAND NEAR LATITUDE 31.3 NORTH... LONGITUDE 87.5 WEST OR ABOUT 25
MILES SOUTHWEST OF MONROEVILLE ALABAMA IN EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN
MONROE COUNTY ALABAMA.
DENNIS IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 21 MPH. MAXIMUM
SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 80 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.
THE MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE RECENTLY REPORTED BY A NOAA
RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT WAS 961 MB...28.38 INCHES.

WINDS WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE TENNESSEE VALLEY OVERNIGHT AS
HURRICANE DENNIS MOVES INLAND.
WINDS ACROSS NORTHWEST ALABAMA ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO 15 TO
25 MPH BY 10 PM...WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH. TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS
ARE EXPECTED SHORTLY BEFORE MIDNIGHT AND WILL CONTINUE INTO
MONDAY...WITH SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH AND OCCASIONAL GUSTS
TO 50 MPH.
ELSEWHERE...WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH BY 10 PM...WITH

TO 2 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE BY MIDNIGHT. THIS WILL LEAD TO
SATURATED GROUND ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA.
OVERALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES BY MONDAY AFTERNOON WILL LIKELY
RESULT IN RISES ON AREA CREEKS...STREAMS AND RIVERS. LOCALLY
HEAVIER RAINFALL CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS NORTHWEST ALABAMA...CLOSEST
TO THE STORM CENTER. HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS OF NORTHEAST ALABAMA AND FRANKLIN COUNTY TENNESSEE.

ISOLATED TORNADOES REMAIN POSSIBLE TO THE EAST OF THE TRACK OF
HURRICANE DENNIS. THE TORNADO THREAT WILL LIKELY EXIST INTO MONDAY
