ORLEANS.

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING MEANS THAT TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS...
WINDS OF 39 MPH OR HIGHER AND INCREASING TIDES...ARE LIKELY WITHIN 24
HOURS.

NEAR LATITUDE 25.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 90.4 WEST OR ABOUT 255 MILES
SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF THE MOUTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE 40 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. TROPICAL
STORM CINDY HAS THE POTENTIAL TO STRENGTHEN BEFORE LANDFALL.

CINDY ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE COASTAL WATERS LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND SPREAD INTO COASTAL SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA PARISHES
AND COASTAL MISSISSIPPI COUNTIES TONIGHT. TROPICAL STORM FORCE
WINDS WILL LIKELY SPREAD INLAND DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY.

RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES WILL BE COMMON THROUGH
WEDNESDAY WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES POSSIBLE.
A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTH
MISSISSIPPI THROUGH WEDNESDAY DUE TO THE POTENTIAL OF HEAVY RAIN AND
