TO THE CENTER OF CIRCULATION...LIGHTER PRECIPITATION CAN BE
OBSERVED.
STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE
SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES TO NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND OVER THE NEXT 24
HOURS AS THIS SYSTEM PROPAGATES NORTHEASTWARD.
REPEATING THE 5 AM EDT POSITION...TROPICAL DEPRESSION KATRINA WAS
LOCATED NEAR 41.1 NORTH...81.6 WEST...OR ABOUT 16 MILES
NORTH-NORTHWEST OF AKRON OHIO...AND WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT
35 MPH...MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30
MPH...MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE 996 MB OR 29.41 INCHES.
