FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM IRENE... LOCATED ABOUT 270 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF BERMUDA
AND ABOUT 535 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CAPE HATTERAS NORTH CAROLINA.
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY REMAINS SOMEWHAT LIMITED WITHIN THE LOW
PRESSURE AREA CENTERED ABOUT 1050 MILES EAST OF THE WINDWARD
ISLANDS... AND THE OVERALL ORGANIZATION OF THIS SYSTEM HAS CHANGED
LITTLE OVERNIGHT. HOWEVER...CONDITIONS STILL APPEAR FAVORABLE FOR
A TROPICAL DEPRESSION TO DEVELOP DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO AS THE
SYSTEM MOVES TOWARD THE NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 10 MPH.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH SUNDAY.
