NORTHWEST OF THE TAMPA BAY AREA. JEANNE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH
NEAR 12 MPH. A TURN TO THE NORTH-NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED LATER TODAY.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 40 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. JEANNE
IS EXPECTED TO WEAKEN TO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

WINDS OVER THE NATURE COAST ARE CURRENTLY 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
35 MPH. WINDS WILL SLOWLY DIMINISH THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. FURTHER

CURRENT BANDS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN ARE OVER NORTHERN LEVY
COUNTY...NEAR SARASOTA...AND IN THE FORT MYERS AREA. MORE BANDING IS
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN THE GULF OF MEXICO AND FLOW NORTHEAST INTO
THE CIRCULATION OF JEANNE. RAINFALL TOTALS WILL GENERALLY BE LESS
THAN ONE INCH OVER THE AREA WITH SOME ISOLATED LOCATIONS RECEIVING
UP TO 3 INCHES WHERE TRAINING OF CELLS OCCUR.

THE THREAT FOR TORNADOES HAS DECREASED AS JEANNE HAS WEAKENED AND
MOVED NORTHWARD...BUT AN ISOLATED TORNADO IS STILL POSSIBLE IN THE
STRONGER CELLS THAT MOVE ONSHORE FROM THE GULF TODAY.
