COAST NORTH OF COCOA BEACH...
...AN INLAND TROPICAL STORM WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR
INTERIOR COUNTIES OF EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA...

...WATCHES AND WARNINGS...
A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT ON THE ATLANTIC COAST
FROM NORTH OF COCOA BEACH TO THE SAVANNAH RIVER. AN INLAND TROPICAL
STORM WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR LAKE...SEMINOLE...ORANGE AND
OSCEOLA COUNTIES.

...STORM INFORMATION...
AT 8 PM EDT THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM JEANNE WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 29.4 NORTH... LONGITUDE 82.7 WEST OR ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH OF
BRONSON FLORIDA. THIS IS ALSO ABOUT 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF GAINESVILLE
FLORIDA. JEANNE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 13 MPH.

...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TO SLOWLY IMPROVE DURING THE EVENING. PLEASE
LIMIT TRAVEL ESPECIALLY NOW THAT IT IS DARK AND ROAD HAZARDS WILL BE
MORE DIFFICULT TO SEE. MANY POWERLINES ARE DOWN AND TREES AND DEBRIS
ARE ON THE ROADWAYS. TRAFFIC LIGHTS ARE OUT OR DOWN AND IT IS
DANGEROUS TO TRAVEL. REMEMBER TRAFFIC LIGHTS THAT ARE OUT OF ORDER
BECOME FOUR WAY STOPS.

...WIND IMPACTS...
AT 8 PM...MELBOURNE RADAR INDICATED THE CIRCULATION CENTER OF
WEAKENING TROPICAL STORM JEANNE ALONG THE FLORIDA WEST COAST
NEAR CEDAR KEY.

TRAILING RAINBANDS...MAINLY CONTAINING LIGHT RAIN AND WIND GUSTS UP
TO 50 MPH WILL CONTINUE TO SPIRAL NORTHEAST ACROSS EAST CENTRAL
FLORIDA. CONDITIONS WILL GRADUALLY IMPROVE THROUGH THE EVENING...
ALBEIT SLOWLY.

AT 750 PM...OBSERVATIONS INDICATED WIND GUSTS TO 58 MPH AT ST.
AUGUSTINE...35 MPH AT DAYTONA BEACH...39 MPH AT SANFORD...39 MPH AT
ORLANDO...AND 49 MPH AT THE VILLAGES.


...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
STORM SURGE WATERS WILL CONTINUE TO SUBSIDE AS JEANNE MOVES
FARTHER NORTHWEST. LARGE AND DANGEROUS BATTERING WAVES...AND
APPROACHING TIMES OF HIGH TIDE WILL SLOW THE RETREAT OF SURGE WATERS.

...FLOOD IMPACTS...
THE FLOOD THREAT ASSOCIATED WITH JEANNE HAS DIMINISHED. AS A
RESULT...AN AERIAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR INDIAN
RIVER...OSCEOLA...BREVARD...ORANGE...LAKE...SEMINOLE AND VOLUSIA
COUNTIES UNTIL 5 AM MONDAY MORNING. THIS IS MAINLY FOR OVERFLOWING
SMALL LAKES AND RETENTION PONDS... AND THE PONDING OF WATER THAT
COVERS MANY ROADS.

...TORNADO IMPACTS...
THE THREAT FOR TORNADOES HAS DIMINISHED IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA. THE
AFTERNOON TORNADO WATCH HAS EXPIRED.

THE NEXT HURRICANE LOCAL STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED AROUND MIDNIGHT
