IS NOW FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS SOUTHERN POLK AND HARDEE COUNTIES
THIS MORNING AND ACROSS HILLSBOROUGH AND PASCO COUNTIES THIS
AFTERNOON. HURRICANE FORCE WINDS...ESPECIALLY IN GUSTS...ARE POSSIBLE
WITHIN ABOUT 70 MILES OF THE CENTER. HURRICANCE FORCE WINDS ARE NOW
OCCURRING IN INTERIOR COUNTIES AND WILL BE OCCURRING BY MID MORNING
IN HILLSBOROUGH...PASCO AND MANATEE COUNTIES...BY EARLY AFTERNOON
IN HERNANDO AND PINELLAS COUNTIES.
MOBILE HOMES IN THE DIRECT PATH OF THE STORM WILL EXPERIENCE MODERATE
TO SEVERE DAMAGE. IN ADDITION...HOUSES OF POOR TO AVERAGE
CONSTRUCTION WILL HAVE PARTIAL WALL AND ROOF FAILURE AS WELL AS BLOWN
OUT WINDOWS. MOST LANAI SCREENS AND POOL CAGES WILL BE DAMAGED...SOME
DESTROYED. UNFASTENED HOME ITEMS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE WEIGHT WILL
